But my parents go about life in a very conservative and no-fuss manner, which I totally understand.
Anyway. It's not actually difficult. I made it in about 20 minutes, and if a noob like me can do it, anyone can! It just requires a bit of energy. No really, here's the recipe:
Melt butter in milk, pour in brown sugar, melt, bring to a boil for 2 minutes, pour out mixture into bowl with icing sugar, fold/mix together, pour into tray, set in fridge... Cut up and enjoy!
It's that simple. Just don't be stupid and underestimate boiling sugar's ability to injure fragile human flesh, and you'll be fine. So basically, if you can handle a pot of boiling water you're good to go! XD
I cut it up and threw them into inexpensive plastic containers from Daiso lined with baking paper. Now, being the perfectionist that I am, I started freaking out over the fact that the fudge was a tiny bit grainy on the surface (which cleared up after setting overnight) and that it looked kind of... well, not perfect. And I didn't take any photos because I didn't consider it to be a success in any way. Perhaps I was a bit hasty :P
I have received good reviews from my guinea p--friends today, so HOORAY.
Cooking Level +1!
Now I'm probably never going to make sweets again unless it's for friends, because I personally dislike overly sweet food. That being said, I'm still waiting for when I have an outing with the remaining people on my gift list, so I'll be making more fudge in the future. Maybe I'll take photos then :)
